Club news

There has been a recent problem in that an event on a Thursday evening was over subscribed, which meant that some late arriving club members were not allowed to ride. V.C. Sevale takes the view that club members, including 2nd claim, be given priority signing in until 15 minutes before the event start time. Early guests will then be entered on a first come, first served basis.

Please find listed below the proposed events for the current year, all held under CTT Rules and Regulations.

For those of you new to time trialling please be aware that you can turn up on the night and race as a guest, all our events are now classed as Come and Try It events. Once the bug has bitten you are then free to join as a full member!

The Club will still be holding at least one Come and Try It race in June as a club promotion.

There is a fee of £2.50 members, £3 Guests, to enter each time trial.

Season Ticket

You can now obtain a season ticket for the club time trials, excellent value at £30. The ticket will gain you entry to all the club evening time-trials throughout the season; a bargain if you are intending to enter them all.

Note that there is a season long competition for which prizes are awarded. To be considered for an award you must be a fully paid up first claim club member and you must participate in a minimum of 5 time trials. Counting Events for the Club Time Trial Competition are

1 x 5.5 mile, 6 x 10 mile , 1 x 15 mile, 1 x 12 mile hilly, 1 x 25 mile

Riders must ride a minimum of 5 rides to be considered for an award.

Only fully paid-up first-claim members are eligible for points counting towards awards.

All dates have been registered as Come & Try It events, (except the hill climb), but certificates and prizes will only be awarded for the 12th June event.

The two events in BOLD are designated as Club Championship qualifiers. For these, a vets award will be made based on the RTTC standard times.

Any 10 mile event can be ridden as a 2-up to qualify for the fastest 2-up award.

The Hill climb is an inter club event with Worcester St Johns CC

Please ride safely and sensibly before, during and after events,

Do not congregate around the timekeeper when you have finished, it distracts him and could obscure his view of other riders.
