part 2 K47/5.5 - Hanley Swan (5.5 mile) Registration, start & finish are at The Swan public house at Hanley Swan. The route proceeds along the B4209 to Hanley Castle. Turn left here & ride Northwards along the B4211 Guarlford Rd turning. Turn left & left again 50 metres along this road. Continue along this road towards the Hanley Swan junction. The finish is approximately 300metres from the junction. K47/10G - Chance Lane (10 mile) Registration, Start & Finish are at the junction of the Guarlford Road (B4211)/Chance Lane approximately one mile past the BlueBell Inn going East. (Away from Malvern). The route proceeds along the Gualford Road in an Easterly direction until the junction with the B4424 where it turns left. Continue along the B4424 in a Northerly direction until Callow End. Ride through Callow End until passing the Blue Bell Public House. Take the next left turn into Genetree Lane & follow this until reaching the T-junction with the Madresfield Rd. Turn left here & follow this road to the finish 100m from the Guarlford Rd. K46/10 - Severn Stoke (10 mile) The Registration & Start are in a lane opposite metal field gate 120 yards west of 30 signs at Kinnersley. The fnish is through the village at the "P" sign 8 yards before first lay-by on left. Start in the lane at Kinnersley opposite a metal field gate 120 yards west of 30 signs. Ride west to the A38 & turn left along the main road. Encircle first island approaching M50 bridge. Leave by the 3rd exit to retrace along the A38, past start lane junction and descend the hill into Severn Stoke village. Ride through village to finish at "P" sign 8 yards before first lay-by on left. K47/16 - Welland (15 mile/Hilly 12) Registration for the 15 mile Time Trial is on the common leaving Welland on the B4208 towards Gloucester (South). The start is a further 1/4 mile & the finish at the Welland Village signpost. Proceed along the B4208 in a Southerly direction until the junction with the Tewkesbury Rd (A438) at Rye Cross Garage. Turn left & follow this road until the left turn at Long Green onto the B4211. Follow this road through Longdon & continue until the T-junction at Tunnel Hill. Turn left onto the A4104 & follow this back to Welland. At Welland, turn left. The finish is at the Welland signpost at the common. Registration for the Hilly is at Welland Village Hall. The start is on the road outside the hall. The finish is on the B4208 at the Welland Village signpost. Proceed along the A4104 in a Westerly direction through Little Malvern & take the sharp left turn onto the A449. Follow this road over the British Camp & continue towards Ledbury. Take the left turn to Eastnor on the A438 & follow this road until its end at Rye Cross. Turn left onto the B4208 & follow this road until the finish at the Welland Village signpost. K47/10L - Leigh Sinton (10 mile) Registration & finish are at the lay-by approximately one mile West of Leigh Sinton on the main A4103. The start is in the lane near to the Lay-by. Start in lane sign-posted to "The Norrest" at centre of passing place about 200 yards from A4103 between Storridge and Leigh Sinton. Ride down the lane & left onto the A4103. Follow this road through Leigh Sinton & continue to the Bransford island. Take 2nd exit (A4103), following signposts to Worcester. The road goes steeply up to the Grove Farm island (A4103/A44 junction). Turn 180 degrees & return down the hill & back towards Leigh Sinton. Continue through the village. The finish is at the unsurfaced Lay-by 75 yards beyond lane signposted "Half Key ½" at a point level with junction sign on right.
K46/25K The Registration & start are at the top of Kinnserley Hill. Take the A38 to Kempsey. From here, take the Kinnersley road to the brow of the hill. This is the last left turn opposite the Mitsubishi Garage going South along the A38. Car Parking is around the small woodland. The finish is approximately 1/2 mile back down this road. Ride back down the road until the junction with the A38 & turn left. Follow the A38 until the M50 island & turn 180 degrees to head back North towards Worcester. Continue past the turning to Kinnersley & ride through Kempsey. Continue until the next roundabout & again, turn 180 degrees to head South again. On returning to the Kinnersley turn, take a left (opposite the garage) & follow this road to the foot of the hill & the finish. The start is at the foot of Ankerdine hill at the Talbot public house. The finish is at the top! Take the Leominster Road (A44) out of Worcester until the Martley turning (B4197). The Talbot is 1/2 mile along this road. Ride (agonisingly) up hill ! |
